The Robarts
Research Institute is Canada's largest privately
funded research institution. It has succeeded in attracting
over 48 leading medical scientists who regularly make
headlines with their discoveries and leading edge
research. The Robarts Research Institute focuses on
a number of areas including advanced imaging, autoimmunity/diabetes,
gene therapy, heart/circulation and stroke/neurodegenerative
diseases. Robarts has also developed an enviable track
record in turning their discoveries into successful
private ventures that are bringing jobs and investment

Robarts
Research Institute’s independent structure allows
our development partner to be flexible in their response
to scientific developments and successful commercialization
of new technologies. Physically close to and affiliated
with The University of Western Ontario and London
Health Sciences Centre, Robarts makes full use of
the many opportunities that arise to bring research
full circle from classroom to lab to clinic.
The laboratory, founded by Dr.
Ravi Menon is currently the imaging research arm
of MEDTRODE and XLR.
The Laboratory comprising fifteen faculty, post-docs
and graduate students, focuses on in the development
and application of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
and spectroscopy (MRS) techniques. |
