The Center for Integrated RF Engineering (CIRFE) was established by Prof. Raafat Mansour at the University of Waterloo. It houses a Class 10,000 clean room and a characterization laboratory for RF devices. The facility is funded by Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI), Ontario Innovation Trust (OIT) and COM DEV. Dr. Mansour and his students are developing MEMS RF solutions for
Medtrode's implantable pulse generators. This collaboration is partly
funded by Materials and Manufacturing of Ontario, a
