October 2004
Medtrode obtains an exclusive world wide license for the core technology and enters into a strategic research partnership agreement with the National Research Council of Canada - Integrated Manufacturing Technologies Institute (NRC-IMTI) and Lawson Health Research Institute/London Health Sciences Centre (LHSCRI).

   
 

November 2004
Medtrode invests $240,000 to fund research carried out in collaboration with our institutional partners which were awarded a POP-II CIHR grant.

   
 

January 2005
Medtrode relocates to renovated offices and lab at the Stiller Centre for Biotechnology Commercialization (formerly London Biotechnology Commercialization Centre), located in the University of Western Ontario Research Park.

   
 

April 2005
Medtrode acquires controlling interest in XLR Imaging from the Robarts Research Institution and signs a co-development agreement with Robarts which gives it access to world class imaging facilities.

 

October 2005
Medtrode and Dr. Raafat Mansour of University of Waterloo receives
funding from Material and Manufacturing of Ontario for the development
of MEMS-based IPG solutions.

March 2006
Medtrode is approved for funding under the HTX-OCE Business Partnership
Program for the collaborative development of the Remote Programming with
University of Waterloo.
September 2006
Medtrode receives confirmation for funding from NRC-Industrial Research
Assistance Program for additional developments and in vivo testing on
the multi-channel electrodes.
